Aisha Cowley
I deeply believe that everyone deserves a space to feel safe and safely express themselves regardless of their age, ethnicity, background, or beliefs. I also believe that each person’s struggle is real, and I am devoted to making sure that each client I work with is heard and feels heard. I am passionate about helping others understand, strengthen and use their natural ability to be resilient during and after times of crisis.
When helping clients, I strive to meet them wherever they are emotionally and developmentally; in session, I use principles from CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) to promote greater self-awareness, teach and encourage healthy coping skills, and increase independence.
I have nearly 10 years of experience providing counseling services to individuals of all ages, with specific and extensive experience in working with children, adolescents and families. My experience includes working with trauma, anxiety, depression, Autism, ADHD, and disruptive/impulse-control disorders.
